BS degree Bachelor of Science degree in a field other than engineering or engineering technology, but in a related science (i.e., physics, mathematics, etc.)
EAC Eng degree Engineering degree from a school accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Most states add the statement "or the equivalent," indicating that they will accept a non-EAC degree if it is deemed to be the equal of EAC curriculum.
EIT cert EIT certification (having taken and passed the FE/EIT exam)
Eng Engineering
Eng Tech Engineering technology
exp Experience; this means qualifying engineering work experience, as defined by the State Board
non-EAC Eng degree Engineering degree from a school not accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology
non-TAC Eng Tech degree Engineering technology degree from a school not accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology
non-US degree Engineering degree from a school outside the US
PhD Eng PhD degree in engineering
TAC Eng Tech degree Engineering technology degree from a school accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology
